Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a Days position requiring at least 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience and IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit at a hospital
• Days shift, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, 4x10s, Monday-Friday with a random day off during the week (no blocked scheduling)
• 40 hrs/week base schedule
• On-call requirement of 1-2 nights/week and every 3rd weekend (7:30 PM Friday through 7 AM Monday)
• Weekend requirements limited to call schedule with rare assigned cases
• Uses Epic EMR
• Required to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Circulating and monitoring experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Structural heart, EP, travel, and scrubbing experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Precepting may be required as needed
• Must be willing to float across multiple Des Moines campuses located near one another
• Holiday coverage required for 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at any market facility if employed within the past 12 months, unless their prior role was itself a travel assignment
