SUMMARY:

• The primary purpose of job is to assess implement, and evaluate the nursing care of assigned patients in accordance Federal, State, and Local standards guidelines and regulations that g overn such; activities and as may be directed by Administrator and Director or Nursing. Requires knowledge of patients in adolescent adult and geriatric age group but not limited to consideration of special needs and behaviors or these groups.
• Responsible for adhering to the legal definition of nursing diagnosing and treatment human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of care, supportive to or restorative of life and well being, and executing medical regimens prescribed by a licensed or otherwise legally authorized physician or dentist. A nursing regimen consistent with and shall not vary from any existing medical regimen.
• Delegated the authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out assigned duties your immediate supervisor is the ADNS

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess professionalism, strong organizational and interpersonal skills have a polished presentation and be able to maintain strict confidentiality on all matters. Must be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervisions.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; currently licensed in the State of New York
• Preferably 2 years experience in long-term care.
• Genuine interest and sincere desire to work in geriatric nursing.
• Knowledge of MDS / CCP required
