High school student assistants – $18.00/hour.
Assistant Teachers – starting at $18.50/hour (based on education and experience).

Current openings:

• Infant Assistant Teacher (6 weeks- 15 months) - Part-time 12:45p-5:45p.
• Infant to Toddler Assistant Teacher (starts with 6 weeks old and follows to 23 months) - Part-time 7:15a-12:45p or Full-time 9:15a-5:45p.
• Toddler Assistant Teacher (16 months-23 months) - Part-time 12:45p-5:45p.
• Jr. Preschool Assistant Teacher (2-year-olds) - Part-time 7:15a-12:45p OR 12:45p-5:45p.
• Preschool Assistant Teacher (3-year-olds) - Part-time 7:15a-12:45p OR full-time 9:15a-5:45p.
• PreK Assistant Teacher (4-year-olds) - Part-time MWF 7:15a-12:45p OR full-time M-F 7:15-3:45p.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Grace Beginnings Academy Assistant Teacher is passionate about supporting and caring for young children in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate models Christ-like patience and grace, works collaboratively with the lead teacher, and helps support each child’s growth in their physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. This role assists in implementing Christ-centered lessons and activities rooted in play and exploration. This is a year-round position.

• Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Assist in the completion of documenting daily activities, and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment.
• Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom and assume the responsibility to complete the duties required to maintain an orderly facility.
• Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher. 
• Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience.
• At drop off or pick up foster positive relationships with parents.
• Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent.
• Attend all required training and staff meetings throughout the year. 
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
• Maintains licensing compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS:

• Educational requirements: High School Diploma required.
• Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an assistant.
• Has a commitment to prayer, as evidenced in both corporate and personal prayer.
• Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
