Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of patient care
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs throughout each shift
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices and delegate patient care priorities commensurate with available staff education and experience
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Georgia
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• At least 2 prior travel nursing assignments successfully completed
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• ESI Level 5 triage training required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)
