Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician provides hands-on technical support to production operations within a manufacturing environment, working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. This role is responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment, including systems with CNC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical controls. The Maintenance Technician reads and interprets technical schematics and drawings, manages work orders and parts requisitions through the CMMS, and ensures all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with established safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements. The position requires a self-directed individual who actively contributes to process improvement initiatives and upholds 5S standards in a fast-paced production setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, machine drawings, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics schematics.
• Troubleshoots programmable controllers.
• Troubleshoots equipment with CNC pneumatics and hydraulic controls.
• Installs wiring, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls.
• Adjusts and calibrates machines.
• Removes, replaces and/or repairs machinery.
• Takes work orders out of CMMS and completes in a timely manner.
• Completes parts requisitions in CMMS with correct part numbers and vendors.
• Ensures all safety, including PPE, and lockout / tagout procedures are followed.
• Initiates and participates in process improvements and is part of the implementation group.
• Initiates self-directed activities.
• Perform 5S requirements as assigned.
• Complies with preventative maintenance schedule on equipment and adheres to the published standards.

Qualifications Required

• High School Diploma
• Technical School Training considered in lieu of experience.
• Proven problem solving and organizational skills.
• Self-directed and initiative skills.
• Interpret schematics i.e. electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical.
• Technical support skills.
• Must be able to work well in teams with other department employees.
• Follow all safety and environment regulations.
• Familiar with 5S requirements and standards

Qualifications - Preferred

• 5 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Electrical license or 5 years industrial electrical experience preferred.
• 5 years of controls experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most of the day ( more than 5 hours per day)
• Walking: Most of the day ( more than 5 hours per day)
• Bending: Occasionally
• Lifting: medium (less than 50 lbs.)
• Carry: medium (50- 80 lbs.)
• Pushing/Pulling: under 50 lbs. without assistance frequently

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
