24-hr Phlebotomist Rehoboth

Phlebotomist

Scheduled weekly hours: 24

Monday, Wednesday & Friday (7:30am - 4pm)

Under the direction of the Laboratory Coordinator, Practice Manager and/or site Medical Director collects blood specimens using venipuncture or capillary puncture techniques; instructs patients in the collection of urine and other body fluids/specimens. Processes specimens correctly and tracks receipt of results. Under the direction of a qualified instructor, performs lab testing after documented training is established.

Required skills/qualifications/training/experience:

• Ability to perform venipuncture and capillary collection techniques proficiently and safely
• Attention to detail and effective organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of and adherence to universal precaution techniques and requirements
• Completion of a 12 week orientation period
• Command of verbal and written English
• Positive interpersonal communication skills
• Good organizational skills

Preferred skills/qualifications/training/experience:

Educational requirements:

• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training course required

License/certification:

• Phlebotomy certificate

Salary range: $19.85-$30.05

The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education. For annual salaries this is based on full-time employment.
