Job Summary
The Azure APIM Support Engineer provides expert-level support for Azure API Management (APIM) solutions. The engineer helps customers secure, publish, monitor, and optimize APIs while troubleshooting gateway, policy, authentication, ARM, and backend integration issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot Azure API Management services, including:
- API Gateway
- Self-hosted Gateway
- Developer Portal
- Consumption Tier
- Premium and Standard Tiers
- Diagnose:
- API routing issues
- Backend connectivity failures
- Performance degradation
- Policy execution failures
- Authentication and authorization issues
- Support API security implementations, including:
- OAuth 2.0
- OpenID Connect
- JWT Validation
- Managed Identity
- Client Certificates
- Assist customers with:
- API versioning
- Revisions
- Custom Domains
- TLS/SSL certificates
- Review and troubleshoot APIM policies.
- Investigate API latency and throughput issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve platform-related issues.
