Registered Nurse

RTR is offering a $5,000 sign‑on bonus for new full‑time RN hires. Provide general nursing care to individuals in RTR residential homes, assist Residential Management to coordinate medical services, and support staff in delivering all healthcare services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide clinical consultation regarding complex healthcare issues or newly diagnosed conditions that require an in‑depth healthcare management plan. Review Physician Orders, including treatments and medications, with the Residential Manager and/or Program Director. Periodically review individual dietary restrictions and residential menus with Residential Managers. Follow hospital admissions and act as the liaison between RTR and DDS for all medical information. Assist RTR Management with discharge planning. Review DDS Health Screen Recommendations with Residential Managers and/or Program Directors to provide all individuals with healthcare services in accordance with DDS regulations. Attend DDS monthly meetings and/or other required meetings concerning healthcare planning. Attend family meetings concerning individual’s healthcare/medical issues. Provide requested communication concerning medical issues to all ISP team members. Obtain MAP Certification. Assist RTR Management in medication monitoring. Provide staff training as necessary. Participate in on‑the‑job training and provide coaching to new co‑workers as directed. Adhere to agency safety standards. Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, clearing snow and ice from walkways, vehicles, parking lots, and roads using equipment like shovels and snow blowers while applying de‑icing agents to ensure safety. Must hold a valid Registered Nurse Certification. Valid Driver’s License. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet. Successful completion of all state and agency‑mandated trainings. Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
