General Food Service Assistant

Seeking an individual to assist in the preparation and serving of the school lunch program while maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition. Starting hourly rate is $11.25. The pay range is $11.25 - $16.50 /hour. Experience, skills and assignment will be considered in determining pay. The position is eligible for benefits, including health insurance.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

Food service experience preferred

Physical fitness and emotional stability to perform the job

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Must successfully complete required food and kitchen safety training

Must be able to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction

Major Responsibilities:

Performing duties for food preparation

Maintain sanitation standards for the food service area

Maintain positive work habits

Perform duties efficiently and productively

Maintain and/or upgrade skills as necessary

Maintain personal qualities appropriate for designated job
