About the department: CMH Emergency Medical Services provides ambulance services to three counties in Southwest Missouri: Polk, Hickory and St. Clair. Services include 9-1-1 emergency response and non-emergency medical transport. Ambulances are equipped with advanced medical life support for adult and pediatric patients. Ambulances are staffed by EMTs and paramedics who are licensed and certified to provide exceptional and compassionate care. A typical day will include: Providing pre-hospital services utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to the ages of the patients served, including neonate, infant / pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations for the subsequent duties: Responds to emergency calls to provide treatment and care to patients of all ages Preparesand maintainsambulances, equipment, and inventory of supplies Assessand determines scene safety, and/orutilizes community/organizational resources to assure scene safety Initiates advanced life support and makesan accurate initial assessment of patients' conditions Transportspatients, utilizesother methods of transportation, or relinquishes patient care as per state guidelines and / or medical control Documents a complete assessment on each patient examined using understandable language and / or organization-approved abbreviations Job Requirements: Education: High school diploma and appropriate Paramedic training course Experience: 1 year of experience is preferred Skills: Customer service, medical terminology, ability to remain professional and calm during high stress and crisis situations Licensure/Certification:Current Missouri Driver's License (Class E) and an active Missouri EMT-P license Physical: Mayrequire prolonged periods of sitting, standing or walking The position is :PRN with a varied schedule working 12 hours every 2 weeks Benefits include: Competitive wage Annual merit increase Early access to pay with on-demand PayActiv For more information about this opportunity, please contact Kelly Fender at View phone number on click.appcast.io,or by email at View email address on click.appcast.io.
