Floor Manager

PURPOSE

The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sales floor, ensuring a smooth and efficient sales process, maximizing sales performance, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role involves coaching and mentoring sales staff, assisting customers, and working closely with management to achieve dealership goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Supervise and support the sales team in achieving individual and team sales targets. Monitor and manage daily sales activities, ensuring sales processes are followed. Assist sales consultants in closing deals and handling difficult negotiations. Track and analyze sales metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to improve performance. Ensure vehicles are properly displayed and showroom is organized. Engage with customers on the showroom floor, providing guidance and ensuring excellent service. Address customer concerns and resolve issues to maintain positive dealership reputation. Ensure high customer satisfaction index (CSI) scores by monitoring interactions and feedback. Oversee proper handling of test drives and customer interactions. Train, mentor, and coach sales staff to improve skills and productivity. Conduct daily sales meetings to discuss goals, performance, and dealership updates. Work with human resources and leadership to recruit, hire, and retain top talent. Ensure adherence to dealership policies, procedures, and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Monitor and enforce proper documentation of sales transactions and financing paperwork. Coordinate with the finance and service departments to ensure a smooth sales-to-delivery process. Assist in managing inventory, including vehicle allocation, pricing, and lot organization. Work closely with General Sales Manager and General Manager to develop and implement sales strategies. Utilize Tekion CRM System for tracking sales performance, team productivity, market trends, activities and managing customer relationships. Assist in marketing initiatives and promotional events to drive traffic to the dealership. Motivate and foster a positive work environment to boost team morale. Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team on product knowledge and selling techniques. Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience in dealership operations, sales or business development may substitute for formal education. Minimum 3 years of progressive experience, preferably in automotive dealership sales and management. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Proven track in automotive sales. Experience in Tekion CRM or equivalent systems and dealership management systems preferred.
