Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PCU RN for a night shift position requiring Epic experience and active FL or compact licensure. Requirements Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted) BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; CPI preferred Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required Epic charting system experience required; Allscripts experience also required Previous charge nurse experience preferred Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Travel experience required Skills required include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation, BiPAP/CPAP and chest tube management, wound care, and pre/post cardiac catheterization and surgery care Two professional references from a Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director dated within the past year required for consideration Flu vaccine required between 10/31-3/31 with medical or religious exemptions only Responsibilities Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) setting with cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, neuro stepdown, and ER holding patient populations Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00 Patient ratio of 1:5 Weekend requirement of every other weekend or 6 total weekend shifts per 6-week period Float requirement to other units or sister facilities within the health system No on-call requirements Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed Provide care for cardiac, neurological, and stepdown patients requiring close monitoring and intervention Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV insulin protocols, wound care, and pre/post procedural care for cardiac and renal patients Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers with no radius restriction First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Former Health First employees or contracted staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler Candidates must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of signing Orientation includes completion of annual training modules tracked through the facility's learning management system Scrubs of any color are accepted, but top and bottom colors must match with no logos or prints Holiday and hurricane coverage requirements apply Travel pairs are permitted with unit leader approval, though matching schedules are not guaranteed Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-765333 Open Positions: 3 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler, LLC.
