Engineering Technician (Research)

Arora and Associates, PC is seeking qualified applicants for the following position in our Lawrenceville, NJ office: Engineering Technician (Research) Job No. L-2026-7 The Engineering Technician (Research) supports the Principal Investigator and/or Project Manager by providing project management, administrative, and logistical assistance for research projects conducted for clients across the United States. Under the direction of a Project Manager or Principal Investigator, this role helps manage deadlines, coordinate daily operations, maintain project records, and communicate effectively with both internal and external teams. The Engineering Technician (Research) assists in developing and executing research plans, including organizing virtual and in‑person meetings with technical experts, arranging necessary meeting support, and providing virtual or on‑site assistance to research teams. Some assignments may require occasional overnight travel. The technician maintains required records for all activities and may also support other corporate disciplines as needed. Responsibilities Maintain required project records. Prepare correspondence between Arora, clients, and the research team. Assist the Project Manager/Principal Investigator in developing schedules, agendas, and itineraries. Provide travel planning support and coordination for project participants. Travel with research teams as needed to provide on‑site logistical support. Provide remote logistical support to scan teams when travel is not required. Supervise subconsultant activities in support of assigned projects. Monitor schedules to ensure timely completion of project deliverables and coordinate with research teams and subconsultants to keep tasks on track. Maintain program templates, checklists, boilerplates, and procedures. Preferred Qualifications Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience conducting or reviewing research is desirable. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Sixty college credits or an associate’s degree with two years of subprofessional experience involving program or operations management/supervision will be acceptable. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Webex, Teams, and other collaboration software. Basic project management skills, including the ability to develop progress reports, schedules, and budgets. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Availability for travel. Excellent interpersonal skills.
