This Maintenance Technician role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and installing production machinery and subsystems in a clean manufacturing environment. You will ensure equipment reliability through both emergency repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance while rigorously following safety, quality, and compliance standards. The position requires strong technical aptitude, effective communication, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across the organization.
Responsibilities

• Rigorously follow all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash protocols, and stop work authority.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and installation on production machinery and related subsystems.
• Provide timely emergency repair response when equipment breaks down to minimize production downtime.
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks on schedule, including accurate documentation of work performed.
• Assist in the control and maintenance of spare parts inventory by locating and ordering parts and supplies for production machines and maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the organization to support shared production and business objectives.
• Communicate clearly and professionally using written, verbal, non-verbal, and visual methods to ensure understanding among team members and stakeholders.
• Adhere to quality and compliance standards to ensure the safe and effective use of products manufactured.
• Use PC-based systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document maintenance activities, track work orders, and input production or equipment data.
• Operate production machinery and use hand tools and microscopes as needed to perform maintenance and inspection tasks.
• Input and update data in computer systems such as Excel and other Windows-based applications to support maintenance and production reporting.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• 34 years of experience performing advanced-level troubleshooting and repair on production equipment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a production environment, with a strong customer service mindset toward the production floor.
• Ability to sustain high performance standards and strong attention to detail in unsupervised situations.
• Experience using PC-based systems in a networked environment.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, including proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for maintenance tracking and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with production and machine operation.
• Ability to perform accurate data input into computer systems such as Excel.
• Proficiency using hand tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ability to work with microscopes for detailed inspection or maintenance activities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly using multiple communication methods.
• Commitment to following safety policies and procedures, including LOTO and arc flash requirements.
• Ability to adhere to quality and compliance standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience performing PLC troubleshooting and making computer and software-related corrections to support equipment operation.
• Experience using CAD software to view and edit drawings and schematics.
• Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices.
• Previous experience in medical device manufacturing or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.76 - $39.76/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
