Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Infusion position requiring oncology/infusion experience and Chemo/Bio certification.
Details
Hematology and Oncology outpatient clinic located within a cancer center, with infusion chairs on one side and provider exam rooms on the other
60 infusion chair unit averaging 125 patients per day
Adult oncology patient population across all cancer types
Patient ratios up to 1:4 depending on assigned pod
Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
No weekend rotation and no on-call requirements
No floating required
Uses Epic/Encompass EMR
Requirements
Active NC or compact RN license required
BLS and Chemo/Bio certification required
Minimum 1 year of experience in oncology/infusion setting required
Skilled in administration of anti-neoplastic agents, port access, and IV starts
Knowledge of chemo/immunotherapy side effects and management required
Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
Administer chemotherapy and other infusion treatments to oncology patients
Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, MAs, and MDs, with on-site lab and radiology support
Team-oriented unit culture with facility and unit orientation provided
Royal blue scrub color required
Free parking available
Facility closed on holidays
Must be located outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Previous employees must have been separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
