Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse position available in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves providing care to general medical and surgical patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring standards of nursing practice are met. The shift is 12-hour days with every other weekend and holiday, and clinicians may be required to float to other med/surg units across the facility.

Job Details

• Location: Fargo, North Dakota
• Shift: 12-hour days; every other weekend and holiday
• Schedule: 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Must have an active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent travel experience in a hospital with 250 beds or more, level 2 or higher trauma designation
  • Epic electronic medical record system experience for at least 2 years
  • Experience in medical-surgical nursing, preferably within the last year
  • Must have worked in larger hospital environments, with at least 1 year of Med Surg experience
  • Must badge in and out at the facility
  • Scrubs: Navy Blue
  • Experience working with adult patient populations and collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent travel experience (within the last year)
  • Experience with EMR systems such as AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry
• Additional Information:
  • The unit has 10 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 during the day shift and 6:1 during the night shift
  • The unit is a Level 1 trauma center, requiring experienced nurses comfortable with acute care settings
  • Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are ineligible; local candidates within 80 miles may qualify at a reduced local rate
  • Must have completed, not in the first travel assignment
  • Must have recent travel experience, showing completion of previous assignments
