Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist, you help patients get well. You assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver physical therapy. You are a healer and helper, addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. You design programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities. You adapt to patient needs, find joy in varied settings, collaborate with peers, and refer patients when necessary. You teach patients and caregivers skills to promote independence and productivity. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility. Master’s degree in Physical Therapy; or Master’s degree in a Physical Therapy related field plus a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy; or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience. Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. evaluated as U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy.
