PeriOperative Services Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

40 hours per week with call every 3rd night and every 3rd weekend.

The PeriOperative Services Registered Nurse is responsible for the practice of professional nursing, providing comprehensive care across all age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics. This role encompasses the entire peri-operative period, from admission through discharge from PeriOperative Services. The nurse will utilize skills in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to advocate for and care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
• Monitor patients throughout the peri-operative experience.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative education to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Experience in ortho, general surgery, GYN, and endoscopy preferred.
