Description
- The Planner Scheduler is responsible for creating and owning a valid master schedule for material and capacities that comprehends demand, plant leveling and constraints, product lead times, service goals and inventory goals. Ensure on-time and efficient deliveries of final product with zero downtime. Must possess knowledge of the ISO Quality Policy and specific SOPs in relation to this position. Essential Job Duties
- Support and coordinate with Leads to load work to production areas consistent with area demand and scheduled dates. Communicates with counterpart on schedules.
- Works with Master Scheduler and utilizes CRP to smooth schedules.
- Sets priorities at constraint work centers.
- Monitor execution of production plan and helps resolve production issues
- Support plant managers by running daily schedule meetings and driving actions
- Attend shortage meetings.
- Manage commits to customers and reschedules as needed.
- Manage plan to complete critical restarts.
- Follow up on missing tools and tool reorders.
- Create work orders for production. Modify work orders as required in the MRP system. Maintains MRP reports for manufacturing Work with Leads to plan equipment, material and manpower requirements to execute job orders.
- Coordinates with other managers with planning and implementing PCRs in production.
- Interfaces with manufacturing, sales, engineering, and quality. Communicates issues to Sales, Materials Director, and Production leadership.

- Education
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience and/or Training
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably a job shop, and managing inventories
- Strong information technology skills and aptitude. Experience with MRP systems, Microsoft office applications, primarily Word and Excel.
- General knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Theory of Constraints and cell manufacturing.
- Licenses/Certifications
- APICS Certification preferred

- Ability to understand process flow and develop an organizational system.
