Associate Director - Payer Strategy Enablement, U.S. Market Access

AbbVie

Mettawa, IL

Associate Director role supporting AbbVie's U.S. Market Access Payer Strategy organization. Drives strategic planning, operational excellence, and cross-functional coordination across therapeutic areas while enabling payer strategy leaders to focus on customer engagement and market dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Support annual strategic planning, business reviews, and priority-setting across payer strategy teams
  • Lead development and management of reporting tools, dashboards, and planning resources for organizational consistency
  • Coordinate forward-looking visibility to key contracting, pricing, and access-related milestones across functions
  • Support implementation of capability-building and process improvement initiatives across market access
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, business reviews, and develop training programs to enhance organizational effectiveness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years market access, payer strategy, commercial operations, or related commercial experience
  • Demonstrated track record leading cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business planning tools
  • Strong project management, organizational effectiveness, and business operations experience
  • Proven ability to influence across matrixed organizations without direct authority
