Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description Keymark Corporation of Florida, an aluminum extrusion manufacturing plant, is actively interviewing applicants for an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor at the Lakeland manufacturing plant. In this role, you will be supervising technical team members who are responsible for performing maintenance procedures on plant equipment. The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor is a mid-level management position assigned to the MaintenanceDepartment. You will be required to possess competency in performing skilledmanual tasks in the service activities related to the Maintenance Department. Thiswork is non-routine in nature and is performed without supervision in most cases. The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor role is being offered hourly compensation up to $35/hour, depending on your knowledge and experience level and scheduling. Projected annual wage earnings range is $72,000 - $100,000. Scheduling is full-time, 12-hour shifts with a 4 days on / 4 days off rotating schedule We offer employees a full benefits package with company contributions to employee health insurance costs and 401k match. You will be working without direct supervision and assigned duties in detail, observingperformance, and instructing in proper repair and troubleshooting methods. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.Supervision of other employees is the responsibility of this position. You will be asked to train direct reports in tasks that they have not previouslymastered in there classification to improve the knowledge and diversity in themaintenance department. To be considered a qualified applicant, you should have the following aptitudes: Good working knowledge of industrial equipment and processes. Must posses experience in ALL of the following trade skills: Welding, Fabrication, Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, PLC troubleshooting / programming. Ability to guide team members on knowledge of operation and mechanics of equipment. Apply the above knowledge in all aspects of the job while performing daily routine activities. Proficient in all aspects of print reading. Candidates Preferred Education & Experience: High School graduate or equivalent AND minimum 8 years experience in a manufacturing environment 5 years performing a maintenance mechanic role; and 3 years in a supervisory position. Prefer applicants with Aluminum Extrusion background but not required. Special Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license Must pass a pre-employment drug test. Examples of Duties (Duties are examples but are not limited to thefollowing): Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules;develops, interprets and implements policies and procedures; evaluatesstaff and makes hiring and termination recommendations; and ensuresthat staff are trained in complex maintenance activities and are followingstandard operating procedures. Monitors and participates in operations in assigned sections includinginspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications andimprovements, recommending specifications and scheduling for contracts,negotiating prices and inspecting contractor’s work to ensure that safework practices and standard operating procedures are followed. Answers questions and provides information related to projects includingresolving problems, approving expenditures, handling complaints andproviding technical expertise in area of assignment. Interacts professionally with the public, vendors; maintains effective workingrelationships and works in cooperation with the management team toeffectively meet departmental objectives. Provides input into the development of the operating budget for the assignedarea of responsibility; orders materials and supplies; assists in themonitoring and tracking of expenditures for the department. Coordinates maintenance activities with other departments, includingscheduling and resolving problems; coordinates and inspects workperformed by contractors. Assists in the selection of staff; performs periodic evaluations of subordinatesand recommends and implements discipline as required. Ensures that safety training is provided to staff and that proper safetypractices are followed.
