Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Estimated Start Date: Pending contract award and completion of the onboarding process. Compensation: $43 – 45 per hour Job Description Lumbee Group is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and provide exceptional patient care while maintaining radiation safety and regulatory compliance. Requirements Ability to operate Nuclear Medicine equipment. Knowledge of Keyboard Patient Registration and Siemens software. Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology/Nuclear Medicine program. NMTCB or ARRT certification. Kentucky State certification. BLS Required. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and administer radiopharmaceuticals as required. Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Perform Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures and transmit images to PACS for radiologist interpretation. Prepare patients by reviewing questionnaires, medical history, and required documentation. Educate patients and their families about procedures and answer questions. Complete radiation safety documentation and equipment quality control/testing. Maintain accurate patient records and exam documentation. Coordinate patient scheduling with other departments to ensure efficient workflow. Participate in the on‑call rotation to provide 24‑hour departmental coverage as scheduled. Maintain inventory and supplies while promoting cost‑effective use of departmental resources. Assist with orientation and training of new staff as assigned. Follow all infection control, safety, confidentiality (HIPAA), and hospital policies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Skills Experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures independently. Venipuncture and radiopharmaceutical administration. Experience with PACS image management.li> Knowledge of radiation safety practices and equipment quality control. Experience using Siemens Nuclear Medicine software.
