Automotive Technician B Level - $30-$40/hr - No Weekends

Location: Goldsboro, NC
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; no weekends
Pay Rate: $30-$40 per flagged hour
Pay Type: Production-tiered pay plan
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Typical Flagged Hours: Approximately 40 per week

About the role: 

We are seeking a B Level Automotive Technician in Goldsboro, NC who knows their way around a repair bay and takes pride in doing the job right. This independently owned shop offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, steady workflow, and a production-tiered pay plan ranging from $30-$40 per flagged hour. You'll work on Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles in a six-bay, six-lift facility with modern equipment and digital processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle steering, suspension, brake, tire, cooling system, and general mechanical repairs.
• Complete remove-and-replace (R&R) work and routine vehicle maintenance efficiently and accurately.
• Service and repair automotive A/C systems.
• Perform wheel alignments using Hunter alignment equipment.
• Use basic electrical testing and diagnostic skills to track down vehicle concerns.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric.
• Perform quality-control checks and take ownership of repair accuracy.
• Work independently while pitching in with the team when needed.

Qualifications

• Professional automotive repair experience with the ability to independently handle B-Level mechanical work.
• Hands-on experience with steering, suspension, brakes, tires, cooling systems, A/C, wheel alignments, and general mechanical repairs.
• Ability to perform basic automotive electrical testing and diagnostics.
• Experience completing digital vehicle inspections.
• Independent repair shop experience preferred.
• ASE certification preferred, but not required.
• Personal tools needed to perform assigned repair work.

Compensation & Benefits

• Production-tiered pay (depending on experience / skills), example: $30 per flagged hour for 0-26 flagged hours; $35 per flagged hour for 26.1-40.9 flagged hours; $40 per flagged hour for 41+ flagged hours.
