Three contract opportunities are available for licensed professionals ready to support students who thrive with innovative, individualized support. These positions run from August 19, 2026, through June 14, 2027, offering the chance to empower learners at both high school and elementary levels.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Vermont Professional Teaching License with one of the following:
  • Special Educator Endorsement
  • Special Education Consulting Teacher Endorsement
  • Intensive Special Education Teacher Endorsement
• Previous experience in special education settings preferred
• Solutions-oriented mindset and commitment to student growth
• Flexibility to collaborate in developing new pilot programs
• Successful completion of fingerprinting (district will accept recent, approved fingerprints from another school assignment)

Key Responsibilities:

• High School Caseloads A & B: Serve as one of two teachers launching a pilot program for students with executive functioning needs, Autism, and severe behaviors. Work closely with students preparing for employment and building real-world skills, including coordination with a local tech center.
• Elementary Caseload C: Join a team of four educators supporting students with learning disabilities and high-functioning Autism in reading, writing, and math. Collaborate proactively with PT and OT specialists.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes progress and confidence
• Communicate effectively with families, team members, and administrators
