Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth mental health assessments that comprehensively evaluate each child and adolescent’s needs, ensuring a full understanding of their unique circumstances.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider the developmental stages and family dynamics of the young clients you support.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions that address a variety of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions that empower parents and caregivers to create nurturing environments, fostering overall emotional support.
  • Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other professionals to coordinate and enhance integrated care, ensuring holistic treatment pathways for clients.
  • Manage crisis interventions and provide immediate support during mental health emergencies, adhering to best practices for child safety and welfare.
  • Educate clients and their families about various mental health conditions, empowering them with knowledge regarding available treatment options and community resources.
  • Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in team meetings, case consultations, and staying informed on the latest research and practices in child and adolescent therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents aged 5 to 18 years. We cater to a wide range of mental health issues affecting young individuals, ensuring a tailored approach that addresses their specific needs and family contexts. As a therapist, you will directly influence the lives of these young patients, equipping them with coping strategies and emotional support.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Possess a valid and current license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Arizona.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, with expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches.
  • Prior experience delivering both individual and family therapy to young individuals, with a structured approach to addressing their emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring a child-centered and compassionate approach.
  • Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable with associated computer applications.
  • A collaborative team player who values coordination with multidisciplinary team members for holistic patient care.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working in a mental health setting, specifically with children and adolescents.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and working with families in high-stress situations.
  • Engagement in continuing education and professional certifications relevant to child and adolescent mental health.

Compensation and Benefits
