Phlebotomist

Job Description Represent the face of our company to patients, providing routine care or guidance on life‑defining health decisions. Draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for lab testing, following established practices. Direct patient interactions, building trust, explaining procedures, drawing blood skillfully and safely. Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. May be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or as business needs dictate. Under direction of area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices. Verify patient demographic info/initials, obtain patient signature post‑venipuncture to confirm labeling. Maintain required records and documentation. Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. 1‑3 years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Preferred: 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment. Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment. Work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime. Commitment to all policies & procedures, dress code, health & safety, and guiding principles. Make decisions based on procedures and exercise good judgment. Reliable transportation, valid driver license, clean driving record, if applicable. Travel and flexible hours required to cover multiple locations with minimal notice. Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting. Demonstrate superior customer focus; communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; embrace change and business knowledge. Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience. Shift/Time Zone: Mon‑Fri 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
