Position Overview The RN Clinical Directo r is responsible and accountable for the planning, organizing, directing and evaluating nursing services for our Alameda \u00a0location. The Clinical Director (CD) is responsible for the management of all operational services for their location of responsibility. Working within the federal, state, and regional regulations covering home health the Clinical Director works innovatively to meet the needs of our exceptional patients while fulfilling the Aveanna\u2019s mission of future growth. Collaborating closely with the Area Clinical Director, the CD establishes and participates in program development and implementation. The location nursing team members report up through the CD who oversees hiring, discipline, training, and all nursing related items. Schedule:\u202f Monday \u2013 Friday\u202f- 8am to 5pm *Occasional evening/weekend visits may arise Salary: $105,000 - $110,000/ YR +\u00a0 Quarterly Incentive\u202fPotential up to 15% of salary dependent on office success Why Choose the Clinical Director Role at Aveanna?
Essential Job Functions
\u2022 Assign patients for day-to-day management to nursing coordinators and/or Nursing Supervisors/Managers
\u2022 Maintain open lines of communication with families and physicians
\u2022 Evaluate new referrals for admission with recommendations for nursing care
\u2022 Monitors clinical status of all patients and ensures coordination of patient care
\u2022 Monitors patient care to ensure quality and appropriateness of services
\u2022 Monitor staffing patterns of all patients
\u2022 Ensure compliance with Nurse Practice Act
\u2022 Evaluate and supervise staff based on mutually agreed upon goals in job descriptions
\u2022 Ensure that the RN supervisors/clinical care managers are aware of any updated policies and procedures
\u2022 Support and assist in registry nurse hiring, orientation and education PRN
\u2022 Maintain awareness of third party payer rules and regulations
\u2022 Assist and support marketing efforts
\u2022 Maintain awareness of monthly budget
\u2022 Maintain effective interdepartmental communication
\u2022 Performs and provides direct patient care as appropriate and needed
\u2022 Participates in location administrative and clinical call as needed
\u2022 Perform on site supervisory visits to assess client, family, environment, and clinical care givers and complete follow-up documentation as needed Requirements
\u2022 Registered Nurse, Associates/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
\u2022 Current Nursing License
\u2022 One year of management experience
\u2022 Clinical experience of 3 to 4 years in the last 5 years as per state and/or federal laws and regulations, dependent on education level
\u2022 Valid Driver\u2019s License and Acceptable MVR Preferences
\u2022 One to two years pediatric/neonatal experience preferred
\u2022 One year of home care experience preferred Other Skills/Abilities
\u2022 Must be able to adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times
\u2022 Knowledge and understanding of compliance with adherence to regulations
\u2022 Ability to comfortably work with families with limited resources
