About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of recent OR experience in a community hospital or Trauma level 2 facility License: Valid RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS Certification Must-Have: - Circulating experience in a community hospital setting, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), Plastic Surgery - Conscious sedation experience Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in the operating room setting. The candidate must possess strong critical thinking skills and be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in various surgical procedures, including abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, and spinal fusion is required. Comfort with GI cases and administration of sedation is essential. On-call responsibilities will include overnight on weekdays, and 24-hour coverage on weekends and holidays. Candidates must be comfortable managing multiple patient cases and be proficient in the use of surgical equipment. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication with surgical teams and patients. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in accordance with best practices. References and appropriate documentation will be required for consideration.
