Job Summary

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Shopify Plus Technical Lead to support a Proof of Concept (POC) focused on integrating a Shopify checkout experience into their Next.js architecture . The ideal candidate will have strong Shopify Plus and headless commerce experience, with hands-on expertise in Shopify Hydrogen, React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience delivering Shopify Plus / Enterprise solutions using headless architecture.
• Deep expertise with Shopify Hydrogen and Remix .
• Advanced knowledge of Shopify Storefront GraphQL API and Admin GraphQL API.
• Advanced proficiency in React and TypeScript .
• Strong understanding of SSR, streaming, caching, and frontend performance optimization.
• Experience building scalable frontend architectures and component systems for ecommerce.
• Experience developing custom Shopify apps, with Node.js experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience integrating Shopify with ERP, OMS, WMS, PIM, CMS, and third-party SaaS platforms.
• Experience with authentication, webhooks, background jobs, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of Shopify products, variants, collections, pricing, discounts, inventory, orders, and fulfillment.
• Experience with Shopify configuration, instance management, and multi-store or multi-region environments.
• Familiarity with data migration and synchronization strategies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in modern ecommerce or digital product development.
• Experience migrating legacy or monolithic ecommerce platforms to headless Shopify.
• Experience with Next.js, Remix, or other modern React frameworks .
• Experience with Shopify Checkout Kit is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with composable commerce and MACH principles.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
