Area Manager

Salary $85,000-$100,000 annually, bonus eligible. Salaried overtime for shift coverage and holiday coverage. Shift 12.5-hour rotating shifts. Requires working both day and night shifts throughout the year. Day shift: 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM Night shift: 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM Rotation: Switch between days and nights every 6 weeks Work pattern: 3 days on, 3 days off (including weekends and holidays) A full calendar schedule is provided on the first day of employment. Role Summary Area Manager oversees all facets of production during assigned shifts. They respond to departmental and business needs, complete the weekly production plan, and meet safety and quality expectations. They provide leadership to a team, motivating hard work and setting production quality and efficiency standards. Job Responsibilities Proactively lead a team and execute service, cost, productivity, health & safety/environment, and quality standards ensuring a productive work environment for all employees. Process owner for assigned area within the plant. Provide direction, coaching, and counseling to production and maintenance team members. Plan, direct, and control daily operations in a production facility. Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance. Participate in task forces for improvement in quality, safety, efficiency, 5S, etc. Manage budget, drive cost savings, and champion cost control initiatives. Develop and manage a budget to meet goals and deliver results against challenging KPIs. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of certifications, training, and experience. Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing equipment and systems preferred. Management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Self‑starter with the ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication, planning, analysis, influence, and organizational skills. Strong ability to set, monitor, drive, and meet goals. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly adapt to new systems. Willing to relocate now and in the future to one of our production facilities (preferred).
