General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator

HCA Healthcare is seeking a General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator to support our Healthcare & Medical Services department within our leading network of hospitals and care facilities. In this role, you will combine direct patient care with clinical leadership, helping to coordinate day-to-day nursing activities on a general medicine unit and ensuring that high standards of safety, quality, and patient-centered care are consistently met.

As a General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will provide hands-on nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interprofessional care team. You will utilize evidence-based practice and clinical judgment to recognize changes in patient status and intervene promptly, while educating patients and families to support understanding, adherence, and safe transitions of care.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will play a key coordinating role on the unit, serving as a resource and informal leader for nursing staff. You will help organize daily workflows, support safe staffing and patient assignments, and reinforce adherence to policies, procedures, and clinical protocols. You may participate in precepting and mentoring new nurses, supporting ongoing competency development, and fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous learning. You will also assist with quality improvement initiatives, including monitoring clinical outcomes, identifying opportunities to enhance patient safety, and supporting the implementation of process improvements aligned with HCA Healthcare standards.
