Senior Infrastructure Security Architect

Salary: $80,000 - 104,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 10 years of infrastructure security architecture experience in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure security, including network security, endpoint protection, identity and access management, servers, containers, applications, cloud security, encryption, key management, and certificate-based controls.
• Experience designing and implementing secure infrastructure architectures across hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience establishing or applying enterprise encryption standards for data at rest and in transit, including key lifecycle management.
• Extensive experience securing endpoints such as laptops, mobile devices, and servers using technologies such as EDR/XDR, antivirus, device hardening, and policy enforcement.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
• Strong knowledge of security tools and services, including SIEM, vulnerability and configuration management, and cloud-native security services.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence enterprise-level technical direction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility across technical and business teams.
• Ability to assess and integrate proposed standards and technologies across interdependent systems.
• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure risk management and incident response.
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, advanced network vendor certifications, ISC2 certifications, or SANS certifications, are advantageous.
• Experience with advanced encryption, certificate management, or post-quantum readiness is advantageous.
• Experience securing AI/ML systems, including model governance, data pipeline protection, and secure deployment, is advantageous.
• Financial-sector technology experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and laws, including NYDFS Cybersecurity Regulations and FINRA Regulations, is advantageous.

• Own and maintain templates for security artifacts, including patterns, baseline control documents, procedures, architecture decision records, and standards; manage a repository of approved completed versions.
• Provide expert infrastructure security guidance and oversight during security reviews and the development of security artifacts.
• Define and govern infrastructure security standards, including cryptographic controls for data in transit and at rest across hybrid environments.
• Advise on encryption, key management, and certificate usage during security reviews and standards development.
• Align infrastructure security capabilities and processes with enterprise architecture and other technical domains.
• Serve as a senior technical leader within our Information Security Division, influencing infrastructure security strategy and execution.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, resilient security solutions for cloud-native and hybrid environments.
• Track industry developments and emerging threats to inform infrastructure security strategy and tooling.
• Work with vendors and external partners to evaluate solutions, negotiate contracts, and represent us in technical forums.
• Advance infrastructure security practices across Azure, OCI, AWS, GCP, and on-premises environments.
