Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: Experience with high-risk maternal patients Experience in circulating operating room and triage Description: This is a seasonal contract position for a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery. The unit is a Level 4 designated maternal center caring for complex patients at any gestation. It has 22 beds, including 16 labor beds. The nursing team consists of approximately 100 staff members, including RNs and support staff. Staffing typically includes a charge nurse, surgical techs, unit clerk, and RNs based on census demands. Patient ratios are 1:2 and 1:1. The unit performs vaginal and cesarean section deliveries, tubal ligations, cerclage placement and removal, D&C, and C-hyst procedures. The ideal candidate should be a multi-tasker who can work in a fast-paced environment and is a team player. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs. The unit has received recognition as one of America’s Best Maternity Clients and has a consistent high performance rating. Staff will benefit from updates and renovations on the floor, with a supportive leadership team available to assist with patient care if needed.
