UnitedHealth Group is where some of the most innovative ideas in health care are created every day.This position follows an office-based schedule with at least four days per week in our Minnetonka, MN office.Primary Responsibilities:Provide design and oversight of complex actuarial models specifically related to analyzing and implementing changes that impact pricing and risk assumptions of Part DLead actuarial efforts that affect new and existing businessProvide direction for the development of competitive analysisDetermine the impact of various actions on premiums and various product proposalsMentor and develop your elite team of actuariesOversee the development of actuarial pricing modelsDevelop pricing methodologies and assumptionsAnalyze forecasts and trendsAssist with designing and analyzing new productsIdentify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problemsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree4 or more actuarial exams passed5+ years of actuarial/health care economics or similar experience2+ years of experience mentoring Actuarial students / junior staff membersExtensive knowledge of design and pricing concepts and methodologies in health careBasic or higher level of proficiency in SAS (Statistical Analysis System), SQL (Structure Query Language) or other programming systemPreferred Qualifications:ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) designationExperience in Medicare Advantage, PBM, and/or Part D pricing or forecastingPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
