Rates Middle Office Analyst (Securities & Derivatives Intermediate Associate Analyst)

Intermediate Analyst will be tasked with working with Sales Desk to book a variety of trades into the NAM Rates trade capture platforms. The Analyst will need to develop a strong understanding of the different products and their structures within the trade capture application. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential to ensure minimal input errors. The Analyst will partner with Operations & Technology Teams to address issues raised by the Sales or Trading Desks.

Responsibilities:

• Provide analytic and administrative support to Front Office Sales and Trading on derivatives and securities transactions
• Ensure timely and accurate trade entry for all products.
• Collaborate with sales and trading desks to confirm trade details, mitigating any discrepancies on market timing, pricing, and trade details for best execution.
• Develop understanding of derivatives products and fundamental trade logic.
• Perform a limited variety of daily reporting using various models in Excel.
• Partner with technology to identify inefficiencies and implement methods for trade entry innovation.
• Make process improvement recommendations based on data, and support the resolution of complex problems or transactions
• Escalate, resolve, and support all requests, issues, and errors, and disseminate or explain information to external clients
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in a related role
• Demonstrated success solving problems proactively
• Proven ability to quickly understand and critically assess complex processes
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
