Job Description

As a Security Officer Transit Station in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will report observations, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment for the public and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transit locations.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, corridors, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe passenger and visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and authorized transit personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
