Controller (CPA Firm)

Job Description We are seeking a Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations of a growing CPA firm. This individual will play a key role in managing internal accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and operational processes while supporting firm leadership. Responsibilities Oversee the firm’s internal accounting operations and monthly close process Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activity Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures Coordinate with external vendors, banks, and advisors as needed Assist partners with financial analysis, budgeting, and operational reporting Supervise accounting and administrative staff Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and firm policies Support process improvements and implementation of operational efficiencies Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA license preferred 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a CPA firm or professional services environment Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience managing accounting operations and month-end close Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software systems Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Bonus opportunity Health benefits Paid time off and holidays Professional development and growth opportunities This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional seeking a leadership role within a dynamic and growing CPA firm.
