Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Food Processing)

Picture a typical shift: you review the preventive maintenance schedule, walk the production floor to spot issues before they become problems, and coordinate with Operations and Quality to keep every line running safely, efficiently, and in compliance with food safety, quality, and production standards. When something falters, you’re the calm expert who diagnoses, repairs, and documents the fix—so the plant stays productive and audit-ready.

• Open work orders and complete preventive maintenance across production and facility systems per set intervals.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns; troubleshoot root causes to minimize downtime.
• Install, modify, and maintain mechanical and facility equipment to meet changing needs.
• Conduct routine inspections that verify safety, reliability, and performance of machinery.
• Maintain accurate logs and compliance documentation aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure all maintenance activities uphold food safety standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending upgrades and process enhancements.
• Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper PPE use.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current on best practices and emerging technologies.
• Keep the shop and production areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management.

• Mechanical troubleshooting expertise
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair capability
• Pneumatics troubleshooting
• Core maintenance and repair skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Hands-on equipment repair and preventive maintenance
• Equipment installation experience

• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
• Conveyor systems
