Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) Temple, Texas. The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers quality patient care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed and maintaining accurate, timely documentation. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while supporting patient and employee safety through adherence to established policies and procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 shift hours; minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (CIRH only); minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience; registered nurse licensure (license must be brought on the first day).
• Preferred Qualifications: None listed.
• Additional Information:
  • Conducts nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to form the basis of an individualized plan of care.
  • Initiates discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
  • Provides patient information and status for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences.
  • Directs, trains, and supervises ancillary nursing personnel, and delegates appropriately.
  • Ensures personal and environmental safety in accordance with facility and nursing policies and procedures.
  • Assumes charge responsibility following the orientation period as requested.
  • Maintains communication with management and senior nursing staff regarding service needs such as supplies, equipment, and clinical training.
