Overview Retail PharmacistPrairie Parkway, Cedar Falls, IowaPRN | As neededSchedule: Rotating shifts within pharmacy hoursMonday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PMWeekends: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PMProvides services including but are not limited to assessing patient needs, incorporating age and disease specific characteristics into drug therapy and patient education, adjusting care according to patient response, and providing clinical interventions to detect, mitigate, and prevent medication adverse events. Works directly with physicians, other health professionals and patients to provide all aspects of patient care, including clinical and distributive tasks, for patients served within our health system. Helps patients and healthcare professionals achieve clinical outcomes and monitor progress toward common goals. Supervises other pharmacy staff in the absence of formal departmental leadership. Responsibilities Process, fill, verify, and dispense medications with a strong focus on accuracy and safetyProvide clear, compassionate counseling to patients on medication use and expectationsOffer prescription clarification and recommendations to patients and providersCollaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomesSupport medication therapy management (MTM) services and related clinical initiativesAdminister immunizations in accordance with protocolsContribute to efficient day-to-day pharmacy operations and overall patient experiencePerform additional duties and support projects as assigned Qualifications Education:RPh or PharmD degree from a college of pharmacyLicensure/Certifications:Valid license to practice pharmacy within the state of IowaValid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
