Stepdown RN - Belen, NM

An excellent opportunity awaits for skilled Registered Nurses with experience in stepdown/progressive care to provide compassionate care in a dynamic PCU setting. This position involves night shifts at a renowned heart hospital, working within a 55-bed unit specializing in complex cardiovascular cases. Flexible scheduling is available with the option to choose between 36 or 48 hours per week.


Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts: 4x12-hour (18:30 - 07:00)
• Option for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekend shifts as needed, rotating
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year previous PCU/stepdown nursing experience required (2 years preferred)
• Cardiovascular unit experience essential
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CPI preferred
• Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:4
• Experience with EPIC documentation system preferred
• Open to both first-time and local travelers

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for cardiac and other stepdown patients
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
• Float to accommodate staffing needs within the unit
• Ensure meticulous documentation using the EPIC system
• Follow facility protocols and participate in rotating weekend coverage
