Position Overview 

The Caregiver is responsible for delivering exceptional non-medical support and personal care services to clients in accordance with individualized care plans. This role requires professionalism, reliability, empathy, and a genuine commitment to promoting each client's safety, comfort, and independence. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Personal Care Assistance 

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including:
• • Bathing 
  • Grooming and personal hygiene 
  • Dressing 
  • Toileting and incontinence care 
  • Oral care 
  • Feeding assistance when necessary 

Companionship & Emotional Support 

• Foster meaningful relationships through companionship and social engagement. 
• Provide emotional support while respecting each client's dignity and individuality. 

Dementia & Memory Care Support 

• Provide supervision and support for clients living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or related cognitive conditions. 
• Maintain a safe and structured environment while monitoring for behaviors such as wandering, confusion, or paranoia. 

Mobility & Safety Assistance 

• Assist with ambulation, positioning, and transfers. 
• Promote client safety and reduce fall risks during mobility-related activities. 

Household Support 

• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties. 
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe living environment. 

Meal Preparation & Nutrition 

• Prepare meals according to client preferences and dietary requirements. 
• Encourage and support healthy nutrition habits. 

Transportation & Community Support 

• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, grocery shopping, and social activities as needed. 

Communication & Documentation 

• Adhere to client care plans, company policies, and safety protocols. 
• Observe, document, and promptly report changes in a client's condition or well-being. 
• Maintain timely and professional communication with supervisors and office staff. 
• Utilize mobile applications and electronic systems for care documentation and communication. 

 

Required Qualifications 

• Minimum 3 months of professional or private caregiving experience. 
• Must be at least 18 years of age. 
• Valid Driver's License and reliable personal transportation. 
• Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI criminal background screening. 
• Current negative Tuberculosis (TB) test or willingness to obtain one. 
• Ability to provide documentation verifying eligibility to work in the United States. 
• Current California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration, or willingness to obtain registration prior to employment.

• Comfortable using smartphones and mobile technology for communication and documentation.
