Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends | Rapid Response – Candidates Must Be Available to Start Within 7–10 Days

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 7-bed ICU setting, managing adult and geriatric populations with high-acuity needs at a 2:1 patient ratio, or medical-surgical overflow at a 5:1 ratio
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with diagnoses including COPD, CHF, respiratory failure, overdose, alcohol withdrawal, DKA, STEMI, AMI, and stroke
• Operate and manage equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, bedside monitoring, and telemetry systems; document care using Med Host EHR
• Float to other units or assume on-call status when the ICU is on standby; must be able to report to work within 30 minutes of being called
• Perform or assist with advanced clinical procedures including arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, BIPAP, chest tube management, and moderate sedation
• Collaborate independently and effectively within a fast-paced critical care environment, demonstrating strong time management and clinical decision-making skills

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Nevada or through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Hands-on experience with arterial lines, central lines, ventilators, BIPAP, chest tube management, and electrolyte management
• Experience with post-cardiac cath lab care, post-surgical care, and moderate sedation
• Proficiency with telemetry interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring
• Self-motivated, independent practice style with strong focus and time management skills
