Sanitation Technician, 3rd Shift $22.55/hr.+*

Sanitation Technician As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our food manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment, surfaces, and production areas meet regulatory sanitation requirements, thereby contributing to the safety and quality of our food products. Duties and Responsibilities Sanitation Procedures: Execute thorough cleaning and sanitation procedures according to company protocols and regulatory guidelines, including equipment disassembly, chemical cleaning, and sanitation of production areas. Inspection and Monitoring: Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify sanitation issues or areas requiring maintenance. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and sanitation regulations, such as FDA, USDA, and HACCP standards. Keep abreast of updates and implement necessary changes. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and sanitation logs. Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to coordinate sanitation activities with production schedules and promote a culture of cleanliness. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in sanitation procedures. Flexibility: Work overtime and non‑standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Perform all other duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or certification in food safety or sanitation preferred. Experience: Previous experience in sanitation, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices; ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently; strong attention to detail; good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Working Conditions and Physical Effort Work involves daily exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, odors, and other physical hazards, including mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, and communicable diseases. The role requires standing, walking, lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds, and frequent use of fine dexterity, reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting.
