Job Description As a Security Officer Dispatch Control Center in Costa Mesa, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Dispatch Professional, you will coordinate communications, document incidents, and support timely responses to security-related needs in a dynamic location. You will monitor activity, maintain accurate records, and provide exceptional customer service while helping to deter incidents. Position Type: Full Time / Overnight Shift Pay Rate: $29.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon09:00 PM - 05:30 AMTue09:00 PM - 05:30 AMWed09:00 PM - 05:30 AMThur09:00 PM - 05:30 AMSun09:00 PM - 05:30 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor incoming calls, radio traffic, alarms, and other communications, documenting and dispatching information to appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating communications with site personnel and emergency responders as directed. Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, visitor information, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures. Monitor activity across the location through available systems and communications, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience. Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Type at least 40 words per minute. The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
