These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.KBR is looking for a Substation Electrical Engineer, SME to supervise and lead a group of engineers and designers. Provides technical direction, training, mentoring and/or quality checking project deliverables. You will plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering scope.**Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:*** Must have experience leading teams of electrical engineers and designers on projects for electrical substations.* Experience is required related to the development of task analysis for engineering and design hours; working with project schedules; and tracking earned value on the completed electrical engineering and design.* The candidate must be able to travel to client sites for client meetings and surveys of existing facilities.* Must be proficient on the following technical topics: + High voltage substation engineering and design. + Substation yard layouts, sections, grounding, lightning protection, raceways, and bill of materials. + One lines, three lines, auxiliary AC and DC power systems and schematics, relay panels, and equipment wiring. + Protection and controls design. + Calculations (grounding, lightning protection, AC and DC load studies, etc.). + Substation equipment specifications. + National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards**Required Education, Experience, & Skills:*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering* 10+ years of experience required.* Excellent communication skills.* Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is preferred.**Decarbonization – Energy Transition – Sustainability****KBR Benefits**KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
