Early Childhood Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in Addison, VT.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities that stimulate curiosity and encourage exploration.
- Provide a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets all state licensing and safety regulations.
- Assess and document each child's developmental progress, sharing regular updates and insights with parents and guardians.
- Foster a positive classroom culture by modeling kindness, respect, and effective communication skills.
- Know and follow CDD Child Care Licensing Regulations
- Being responsible for the care and supervision of children.
- Planning, preparing, and implementing a curriculum that aligns with the Vermont Early Learning Standards/TSG
- Maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
- Healthy classroom management skills.
- Develop positive relationships with children, co-workers, families, and external personnel.
- Consistently come to work and be a positive team member.
- Associate's degree Prefered.
- Must pass a criminal background check & fingerprinting through the VT Child Care Development Division
- Infant/Child First Aid & CPR Certified or willing to take upon hire.
- Completed Vermont Orientation, Mandated Reporter, and Medication Administration trainings.
- Will need to have or take the Fundamentals Course: OR have related coursework.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and adapting curriculum for individualized learning needs.
- Knowledge of Vermont's Early Learning Standards (VELS) and specialized curriculum frameworks.
- Proficiency in digital communication platforms used for parent engagement and documentation.
