Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Manchester, NH

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Job Description: The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound procedures and provide quality care to patients across the pediatric to geriatric population. The candidate is expected to maintain a good track record with past employers, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and adhere to department policies and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Perform ultrasound examinations and procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, fine needle aspirations, and biopsies.
• Recognize and identify normal and abnormal findings through sonographic imaging.
• Maintain and operate equipment such as Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10.
• Document and report findings accurately in the EMR (Allscripts) and PACS (InteleRad).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of one year of experience in ultrasound with exposure to various types of imaging.
• Knowledge of anatomy and pathology with the ability to identify normal vs. abnormal findings.
• Basic scanning skills and understanding of sonographic physics and techniques.
• Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting, with exposure to general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography.
• Required certifications: BLS, RDMS, NH MIRT Licensure.
