Operating Room Registered Nurse - Days M-F

Days, Monday to Friday (5 8-hour shifts), rotating call.

The Operating Room Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital, Nursing Department, and regulatory standards. Responsible for patient care in the operating room, the nurse serves as both a circulating and scrub nurse, ensuring safe and therapeutically effective nursing care, while also maintaining the work area.

Responsibilities:

• Complete the nursing process to promote and restore patient health.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
• Supervise assigned team members.
• Ensure patient care is in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Serve as a circulating and/or scrub nurse during procedures.
• Recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current Washington State or MultiState RN license required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification on hire.
• ACLS & PALS certifications required.
• Previous experience in Operating Room and Recovery Room nursing preferred.
