Endodontics Clinical Instructor & Educator

Job Description The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry seeks two non-tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Endodontics. These faculty members will provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction and evaluation for pre-doctoral students. Candidates will create and deliver lecture presentations for didactic and laboratory classes and teach endodontics to pre-doctoral students in the main clinic daily. Responsibilities Deliver didactic and laboratory instruction to pre-doctoral students. Teach endodontic procedures in the main clinic daily. Develop and deliver lecture presentations. Assess student performance and provide feedback. Participate in academic scheduling and workload planning. Qualifications DMD/DDS (or equivalent) with advanced training in Endodontics. Eligibility for Missouri Dental Faculty permit. For Associate Clinical Professorship: terminal degree, valid licensure, continuing education, and an additional credential (e.g., specialty certification, fellowship, master's, or extensive professional development). Demonstrated excellence in teaching, including significant course or clinical instruction and mentorship. Active contribution to the school, community, or profession through practice, outreach, professional associations, consulting, or committee service. Evidence of educational innovations, recognized service, or mentorship beyond minimum requirements. Benefits Ranked 12-month, benefit-eligible non-tenure track faculty position. Work week options: 32 hours/.80 FTE (4 days) or 40 hours/1.0 FTE (5 days) by negotiation. Eligible for faculty practice one day per week if hired for 1.0 FTE. Potential for ranked promotion.
